The Children’s Hospital at Westmead's Eating Disorder Service is provided in collaboration with Adolescent Medicine and Mental Health Services.

Outpatient services are provided utilising the Maudsley Approach, which emphasises family-based treatment of adolescent anorexia nervosa.

The Child and Adolescent  Day Program for Eating Eating Disorders is located at  Butterfly House in Crows Nest provides and provides care for patients from around the state who have failed to recover with existing in and outpatient care. The program is a partnership bewteen the The Eating Disorder Service and the Butterfly Foundation. The Network is responsible for the clinical program, while the Butterfly Foundation is responsible for the warm, welcolming environent of Butterfly House.

The Eating Disorder Service undertakes a range of educational and training services as well as researching into the causes and improved treatments for eating disorders.
