John Beveridge Oration

The annual John Beveridge Oration recognises the life, contribution and commitment of Professor John Beveridge. He was the Foundation Professor of Paediatrics at the University of NSW and the Director of the Prince of  Wales Children’s Hospital (now the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick) from its inception in 1962 until 1991. He died in 1999. Professor Beveridge was a strong, passionate and determined advocate for the Hospital and for children’s health. Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir A.C. delivered the inaugural oration in  2002.

The 2017 John Beveridge Orator is The Honourable Jillian Skinner and will be held at 6pm on Wednesday 15 November at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.
