 WSLHD Health Care Interpreter Service Update

WSLHD Health Care Interpreter Service (HCIS) will be providing phone interpreting only* during COVID-19 crisis

  • All existing onsite bookings will be automatically converted into phone interpreting
  • At the time of the existing onsite booking, please call HCIS on 9912 3800 and select Option 2 – pre-booked phone interpreting. HCIS Operator will connect the interpreter.
  • All requests for future interpreter bookings should be emailed to WSLHD-HCIS-InterpreterBookings@health.nsw.gov.au. This will relieve the pressure on HCIS Call Centre and enable them to connect phone interpreting sessions promptly.
  • WS HCIS Video Interpreting/Telehealth Request Form

*Onsite interpreting may be provided in exceptional circumstances i.e. for critical and complex cases. HCIS Operator will refer all such requests to HCIS Manager for review and approval.
