Many people with epilepsy have fulfilling and challenging careers.

• When considering a career, talk to your child and their school counsellor about possible options.
• Also think about whether they would be safe if they were to have a seizure in that work environment. For example, it would be safe to be a teacher, but it may not be possible to be a pilot.
• Think about if the work environment would be safe for seizures.
