Child Life and Music Therapy
Our programs help to minimise the stress and anxiety for children and their families caused by illness and hospitalisation.
Positive experiences through play, music, education and self-expression activities can help provide distraction and promote the development of coping strategies.
Resources for parents
Music is a great way to support your child's growth and development. Take a look at the music sessions developed by our team that you can do at home with your child.
This series of resource sheets provide parents and carers with recommendations for books, movies, tv episodes, YouTube clips and websites on important topics. They have been compiled by Child Life and Music Therapy in consultation with Speech Pathology, Kids Health and community health representatives.
The resources are reviewed and updated regularly. If you have any suggestions for additions, edits or modifications please email Janet Burke.
