What is urology?

Urology services are for children and adolescents with disorders of the urinary tract and genitalia. These can include anatomic, obstructive and infectious disorders.  

How do we help children who have disorders of the urinary tract and genitalia?

The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) provides urology services at The Children’s’ Hospital at Westmead (CHW)  Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick (SCH) and  John Hunter Hospital . Both CHW and SCH provide quaternary neonatal care, a multidisciplinary team for the management of disorders of sexual differentiation (DSD), specialised urodynamics and uroradiology procedures. In addition, also provides urolgy services

SCH provides tertiary and quaternary services for stone management and is the NSW Center for the Management of Paediatric Stone Disease. 

John Hunter Hospital provides secondary and some tertiary level care.
