Parents | Carers

Please help keep our patients safe.

In response to coronavirus (COVID-19) we request that:

  • patients are visited by one person at a time
  • only parents, carers or guardians visit patients
  • siblings should not visit the hospital for the time being
  • only one parent/carer should accompany a child to an Outpatient appointment. Please do not bring other children into the hospital.
  • social distancing rules are in place and must be observed.

A screening process is now in place to make sure no one enters our hospitals who may have an illness that could be passed on to our patients, families or staff.

Everyone coming into the hospital will be asked the following questions:

  • Are you a staff member, patient, family member or visitor?
  • Are you experiencing any cold like symptoms?
  • Have you travelled on a plane or been on a cruise in the last 14 days?
  • Have you been in contact with someone with COVID-19?

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Our hospitals are not only world class, but also warm, friendly, colourful and welcoming. They are designed for kids and families.

It will help soothe your child's fears and anxieties if parents and children both know what to expect and can talk about their hospital visit.
