Positional Plagiocephaly
Plagiocephaly is when your baby’s head becomes flat or uneven. It can also change how their ears or face line up.
The most common type is positional plagiocephaly. This happens when your baby spends a lot of time lying in the same position.
The good news is that it does not affect your baby’s brain development. Most of the time, the shape of your baby’s head improves on its own with the right positioning and support.
See the positional plagiocephaly factsheet for more information.
