Movement recommendations by age

The Australian Department of Health has worked with a number of experts to understand what the best physical activity recommendations are for children to establish healthy habits for growth and development. 

These recommendations are called the Australian 24-hour movement guidelines. These guidelines provide age-based recommendations for physical activity, screen time and sleep in a 24-hour period. See the parent brochures linked below or click on your child's age for the recommendations:
