Radiothon is now live!
Radiothon officially kicked-off at 6pm, Thursday 16 November and will end at 6pm, 17 November. Thanks to our generous donor matchers, every $1 donated will be matched for 24 hours only, until our $2.6 million target is reached. It’s an all-or-nothing appeal this year which means if we don’t reach our target; our donations will not be processed. Every donation, whether big or small, is more powerful than ever!
This year, Radiothon is broadcast on smoothfm and supported by 7 News Sydney to help raise vital funds for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The broadcasts throughout the day will feature the day's entertainment and incredible stories about patients, staff and volunteers. Last year’s Radiothon raised over $1.1million and this year we are hoping to do even better.
“We are extremely grateful for the support from individuals, families, the community and our business network. They give so generously on the day to a cause that really affects families from all corners of Australia,” said Gilly Paxton, Director of Community Relations and Marketing at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
There is a big line-up of entertainment, organised exclusively for patients and their families. Leo Sayer, Alfie Arcuri, Bonnie Anderson and Reece Mastin will perform on our Centre Stage. We will also have exciting entertainment including The BlackTies Magician, The Bearded Bakers, Batman and Western Sydney Wanderers.
