NETS Vision for Life

The Vision for Life project is installing tele-medicine technology in paediatric and neonatal wards in hospitals across NSW to support the vital role played by the Newborn and paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS).

NETS is the emergency service for sick or injured babies, infants and children needing transfer to specialist perinatal or paediatric centres. Vision for Life has added video to the emergency calls to NETS from referring hospitals.

Vision for Life is funded by Variety — the Children’s Charity with support from NSW Health for the installation of tele-medicine technology in paediatric and neonatal wards. The initiative allows paediatric specialists remote access to the consultation and retrieval process enabling  real-time diagnostic assistance regardless of the hospital’s geographic location.
