Superheroes unite for Party Day at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick

Party Day at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick saw superheroes, celebrities and community partners come together to celebrate the annual event.

Our friends at Ropetek surprised our patients by abseiling down the building dressed as superheroes - many of the children they surprised at their windows were in isolation and unable to participate in other Party Day activities. It wouldn't have been possible without the support of Costume Collection who kitted out our abseiling superheroes with their fantastic costumes.

There was also cape making for the kids from Capes4Kids, a free BBQ for staff and families from Beak & Sons and UBS, a music video created by play & music therapy, a visit from the Batmobile, Go Ponies in the foyer and visits from a whole host of people including Sydney FC, NSW Waratahs, Funky Fairies, Sydney Kings, Yamaha rider Dave McKenna, Featherdale Wildlife Park and a cake cutting ceremony from Forsyth Real Estate.

The day brought a lot of laughter and joy to the lives of our patients and families and we thank everyone in the community who supported the event.
