Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick was awash with pirates, mermaids, sharks, colourful fish and aquatic animals of all kinds on Wednesday, 14 October for the Hospital’s annual Party Day for patients and families. The theme? Under the Sea of course!

The day began early, with Emma Freedman and the Sunrise weather team broadcasting live from the Hospital from 6am. Then, the flood of activities and excitement began.

The Hospital’s wards and departments also immersed themselves in theme for the highly anticipated day, with many spaces completely transformed into “Under the Sea” getaways, complete with staff in full costume. Some themes that were embraced include: rainbow fish, Pirates of the Caribbean, Little Mermaid, Gilligan’s Island, shipwreck and more.
