Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation's annual Gold Appeal kicked off on Wednesday, 1 May at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, with hospital staff, patients and their families coming together to celebrate Gold Day.
Gold Day is a fun-filled day of activities, food and magic that signifies the launch of the biggest annual fundraiser supporting Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. Gold Appeal runs for six-weeks and aims to raise $6 million to give sicks kids at the Hospital the priceless golden gifts that come with world-class care.
To mark this special day, celebrity guests, Richard Wilkins and Deborah Knight from media partner Channel 9, joined the staff, patients and their families in the Hospital Foyer with activities such as face painting, balloon twisting and a photo booth.
Emu Australia generously sponsored Gold Day once again, giving away the golden gift of animal-themed boots to patients, while Kindifarm provided a real-life petting farm for everyone to enjoy.
Gold Appeal is also supported by the Daily Telegraph and WSFM101.7’s Jonesy and Amanda and will culminate on Monday, 10 June with our 10th Annual Gold Telethon on Channel 9.
