Visitor screening - To keep everyone safe
We are committed to protecting our patients, families and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the situation develops, new practices are being implemented to ensure the health and safety of our vulnerable children, families and staff.
All visitors will now be screened by a staff member at our hospital entrances, and asked the following questions BEFORE they can enter:
- Are you a staff member, patient, family member or visitor?
- Are you experiencing any cold like symptoms?
- Have you travelled overseas in the last 14 days?
- Have you been in contact with someone with COVID-19?
Anyone who is sick, a COVID-19 contact or who has undertaken recent overseas travel, will not be able to enter. The screener will also ensure that our visitor guidelines of only one parent/carer per patient is adhered to.
Our screeners will kindly ask you to leave, if your presence may place patients, families or staff at risk.
We understand that these new guidelines can be challenging, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this unprecedented time.
