COVID Clinic registrations go digital

Patient registration is set to become one step easier for people visiting the COVID-19 Assessment Clinics at The Children's Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick with the introduction of an online registration form.

In a world ruled by digital technology, the COVID-19 Assessment Clinics across the Network are leading the way online to help improve the patient experience and save time for both families and clinicians.

The form, which was officially launched this week, will allow families to pre-register either before visiting the clinic or upon arrival  and will enable administration staff to complete the registration process in advance, prior to patient presentation.

"Going online is going to be a huge time saver. If there are school closures that result in a lot of students needing testing, the form will now allow us to work with school principles ahead of time.

"It's really going to help us streamline the process to help ensure every family has the best experience possible," Kara Moore, Patient Administration Manager at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick said.

The COVID-19 online registration form can be accessed on a computer, smartphone or tablet and has built-in smarts to assist with form validation on key information fields like Medicare, address, phone number and email address to help reduce the risk of error.

Following registration, families will receive an email confirmation with the location details of the COVID-19 Assessment Clinic, instructions of how to receive their COVID-19 test result by SMS and a link to the SCHN COVID-19 information web page.
