Queens Birthday Honours

Caring and supporting sick children take a special kind of person, and this year, six of our staff and volunteers were recognised in the 2022 Queens Birthday Honours list.

Awarded the honorary member (AM) in the General Division for significant service to paediatric cancer medicine, and to professional organisations.

Dr Susan ARBUCKLE, former Head of Histopathology, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead

Awarded a member(AM) in the General Division for significant service to perinatal medicine, and to professional associations.

The late Dr Richard DUNSTAN, Paediatrician, Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick

Awarded a medal (OAM) in the General Division for service to medicine as a paediatrician.

Professor Stephanie WATSON, Ophthalmologist, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick

Awarded a medal (OAM) in the General Division for service to ophthalmology.

Mr James POZARIK, volunteer, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and volunteer photographer in residence

Awarded a medal (OAM) in the General Division for service to photography.

Mrs Kim PRODINGER, volunteer, Bear Cottage

Awarded a medal (OAM) in the General Division for service to education, and to the community.

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network also extends its congratulations to former Chief Executive Elizabeth Koff, who was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for significant service to public health administration and governance, and to professional organisations.
