Parking at Westmead

Emergency parking

Located at the main entrance of our new hospital building on Hawkesbury Road, Entrance 10, street level. Look for 'Westmead Health Precinct' on the side of the building.

Drop-off zone

There is a 15-minute drop-off and pick-up zone outside the Children’s Emergency Department entrance.

There is also a dedicated drop-off and pick-up zone for patients with mobility access and who have Mobility Parking Scheme permits in the same location.

Paid parking

Car parking is available underneath the hospital building in P5, enter via the main entry plaza and take the ramp down.

Getting to the car park

Parent and visitor car parking is located off Hainsworth Street (P6).

Get to the car park by following Hawkesbury Road around the corner (right) to the roundabout.

A drop-off area is located at the main entrance of the hospital.

There is lighting in the car park, and closed-circuit cameras are monitored by the Security Office.

Height limit to the visitor's carpark is 2 metres.

Please be aware that it can sometimes be difficult to find a spot in the car park as there are many visitors to the Hospital. You should leave plenty of time to park your car or, if possible, have someone drive you to the Hospital or use public transport.

Mobility parking

Vehicles parking in mobility parking spaces must display a current Mobility Parking Permit issued by Service NSW. Failure to display permit may result in infringement notice being issued.
