Roaming entertainment in our hospitals

Clown doctors

While in hospital you might get a visit from a clown doctor!

The clown doctors from Clown Doctors Australia bring humour and silliness to help improve children's wellbeing. They recognise that laughter is not a distraction from care, but a vital part of it.

The clown doctors use a range of approaches, from gentle lullabies to playful clowning, tailored to each patient.

The clown doctors' visiting schedule is:

  • Randwick: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • Westmead: Tuesday to Friday
  • Bear Cottage: twice a month.

To request a clown doctor visit, please speak with your nurse or Child Life Therapist.
