Hospital parent and carer resource centres
Our Resource Centres have been designed by parents for parents. They provide a relaxing and homely environment where parents and carers can take a break.
The Parent and Carer Resource Centre at Westmead
The centre is staffed by a team of trained carer support volunteers who are dedicated to providing a friendly atmosphere and a listening ear.
The centre offers the following services to parents and carers, free of charge:
- tea and coffee facilities
- microwave
- book exchange
- information about carer services.
The Parent and Carer Resource Centre is located on Level 2 of the Banksia Building.
Family Resource Centre at Westmead
The centre is staffed by volunteers and provides the following facilities to families, free of charge:
- tea and coffee facilities
- microwave
- a baby change room
- a breastfeeding room
- information about carer services
- information about the local area and public transport
- book exchange
- puzzles and games
- massage and reflexology.
Please speak with the volunteers to make a massage or reflexology booking.
The Family Resource Centre is located on Level 3 of the Wattle Building.
Parent and Carer Resource Room, Randwick
A space where parents, carers and visitors can sit and relax, read or watch television. Brochures and health related resources are also available in the room.
The resource room is located next to Admissions on Level 0 in Building C.
