Policy, procedure and practice guideline development
When SCHN documents are developed (or reviewed) key SCHN stakeholders form multidisciplinary teams reviewing the latest literature and apply best practice, appropriate Legislation, NSW Ministry of Health Policy and Professional Standards. All SCHN documents undergo a rigorous approval process via key Committees and are document controlled.
The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network must comply with NSW Ministry of Health Policy Directives. A list of NSW Ministry of Health policies can be found at:
http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/policies/index.asp
If you require access to any SCHN policies, procedures or practice guidelines, click on the 'Clinical Policies' or 'Non-Clinical Policies' tab. If a policy is not listed, please contact the Right to Information Officer on (02) 9845 2356.
