Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National)

The Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) provides access to phone and on-site interpreting services in over 150 languages.

NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS)

The NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS) is a state-wide health service strengthening the capacity of health services and programs by effectively and appropriately communicating with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. 

They share multilingual health information.

Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC)

The Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC) is a state-wide service working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, health professionals and partner organisations across NSW to support good mental health.

Their services complement public mental health services (hospital and community) and enhance pathways to care for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

STARTTS (NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors)

STARTTS is a specialist, not-for-profit organisation providing culturally relevant psychological treatment, support and community intervention.

They help refugees and communities heal from trauma and rebuild their lives in Australia.

Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA)

The Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) is the national umbrella body for refugees and people seeking asylum and those who support them.

Connect with communities, organisations and individuals, become a member or join a campaign. 

Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC)

IARC is a not-for-profit, specialist community legal centre providing free legal advice and assistance to people throughout NSW. 

They provide advice about:

  • Immigration and domestic violence
  • Family, Refugee and Humanitarian visas
  • Citizenship
  • Visa cancellations

IARC also provides free community legal education to workers and the general public.
