Asthma education
Asthma education sessions
Asthma management courses are coordinated by Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick through the the Aiming for Asthma Improvement program and at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, by the Respiratory service.
We hold a webinar every month. Sessions are designed for parents and carers but children preparing to self manage their asthma are welcome.
All sessions are FREE and delivered by Clinical Nurse Consultants experienced in the management of childhood asthma.
Topics covered in the webinar include:
- The latest child asthma information, asthma medications and how to take them correctly
- Following your child's asthma action plan, recognising worsening asthma, seeking medical help
- What is good asthma control, day to day management within the home, school and childcare settings
