Rheumatology: John Hunter Children's Hospital
John Hunter Children’s Hospital is one of three children’s hospitals in NSW and a specialised tertiary referral paediatric hospital in Newcastle. We provide complex medical, surgical, major trauma and neonatal care services for Northern NSW.
Over the course of a year, we see more than 20,000 children and young people in the emergency department, admit 9,000 patients to hospital and perform 30,000 treatments through outpatient clinics.
The specialist paediatric rheumatology clinic is held every month on the third Thursday.
The Hospital also has a monthly adolescent young adult clinic with adult and paediatric rheumatology specialists to help young people transition to adult services.

Location: Our Outpatients clinic is located on Level 2 (entrance level) of the Hospital.
Ask for directions at the Information desk, or turn left before it, walk past the Pharmacy and you’ll find the Clinic on your right further along. It’s well signposted.
