New building names

In consultation with local Aboriginal community members and staff, new names have been allocated to the hospital campus buildings and entrance points to help create unique identifiers for each building.

  • The new 14-storey hospital building will be known as the Wattle Building (Wadanguli)
  • The current hospital building will be known as the Banksia Building (Wadanggari)
  • Block K, home to the Emergency Department (ED), Children’s Short Stay Unit (CSSU), CHW Satellite Imaging and Block K theatres, will retain its name.
