• photos of wounds used for initial clinical assessment
• assessment: location and facilities of birth hospital, and severity of wounds, to determine if transfer to Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick is required
• same day courier of new baby EB box set up with suitable dressings to birth hospital. 

• local hospital to manage baby’s care
• email care pathways, DEBRA Australia resources, procedure information and nursing support
• Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick's EB clinical nurse consultant to visit hospital if possible.

• local home nursing supported by Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick
• follow up hospital visit for education and support by nurse after family settled at home
• baby scheduled for review at next EB clinic.
