Getting to our new Emergency Department

From 8am on Tuesday, 18 November, the Children’s Emergency Department will be located on Level B1 of our new Bilima Building, accessible by Botany Street.

By car

Families accessing the Children’s Emergency Department by car will enter via the Botany Street.

This entry is clearly marked with street and campus signage. Please follow the signs to access the new building.

Vehicles will have access to a dedicated drop-off/pick-up zone directly outside the Emergency Department entrance, along with short-term parking for emergency patients, accessed via the ramp to Level B2 and with direct lift access to the Emergency Department.

By foot

Pedestrians will be able to access the Emergency Department off Botany Street via the footpath to the entrance, or from High Street by entering the Bilima Building forecourt and using the external stairs or lift to Level B1.

Access will also be available from the existing hospital building via a pedestrian link on Level 0.

Getting to our new building

Our new Bilima Building is located right next door! You can access the building on foot through several entrances, including a pedestrian linkway on Level 0 of the existing hospital, or from High or Botany Streets.

There will be no additional parking in our new Bilima Building, so please use existing parking available in the Randwick Hospitals Campus car park, accessible via Easy Street off Barker Street.

There are also public transport options as well, including light rail and bus.

We are here to help

Hospital staff and volunteers will be on hand to support navigation between the existing and new hospital buildings throughout this move period.
