Visiting Children's Intensive Care Unit (CICU)

Parents and carers can visit their child at any time, we kindly ask that only two or three visitors attend at a time.

Visiting times

Visiting for parents is unrestricted. Other visitors are welcome, with no more than two to three people at the bedside at any time, unless otherwise arranged with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).

Siblings are welcome to visit. Visiting CICU can be overwhelming for siblings. If so, please discuss with your nurse about how we can help.

Other visitors are encouraged to leave by 8pm to maintain a calm environment for patients. Anyone with symptoms of a possible infectious illness should not visit.

Entry into CICU

Our entry doors to the CICU are always secured.

Please speak with the Clinical Support Administrator (CSA) at the front desk or use the intercom to ask for entry.

The Hospital car park, located on Barker Street is privately operated by Point Parking and is open 24 hours a day.
