Visiting hours
Parents and immediate family are welcome to visit the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick at any time. Each ward has times that other family and friends may visit.
We encourage visitors and ask that families limit the total number of visitors to help us maintain a relatively peaceful environment. The staff caring for your child will inform you of the visiting hours.
Visitor and patient parking
- The car park is open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
- Entry to the car park is via the roundabout on Barker Street, Randwick.
- Once you have parked your car, take the lifts located at the back of the car park to Level 0.
- Enter the main doors of Prince of Wales Campus Centre, then follow the signs to Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.

Parking rates (effective 1 July 2018) are as follows:
- 5 to 30 minutes: $5.00
- 30 to 60 minutes: $10.00
- 1 to 1.5 hours: $15.00
- 1.5 to 2 hours: $20.00
- 2 to 2.5 hours $25.00
- 2.5 to 3 hours $30.00
- $30.00 maximum daily charge
- 5-day visitor pass $90.00
Restricted parking
Parking spaces with the signage 'PERMIT HOLDERS ONLY' are restricted to STAFF permit holders ONLY.
Parking concessions
From Sunday, 1 July 2018, concessional parking rates changed across NSW Health facilities, including Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
Who is eligible for concessions?
- An ongoing cancer patient
- Long-term patients and their carers who are required to attend the hospital for a course of treatment over a period of time greater than one week
- A patient or carer attending more than twice a week (this includes carers of long-term patients who visit frequently)
- An outpatient attending for daily dressings
- A health promotion education class attendee
- A cardiac rehabilitation education and exercise class attendee
- A patient or carer experiencing financial hardship
- A holder of an RMS issued Disabled Parking Permit, Blue Pension Card, Gold Veterans Affairs Card, Maroon and Yellow Health Care Card, Blue Carer Allowance Health Care Card
- A Centrelink beneficiary who qualifies for a Pensioner Concession Card or a Health Care Card
Concession rates:
- 0 to 3 hours: free
- 3+ hours: $5.50 (one exit only per 24 hours)
- 3 day ticket: $11.10 (Frequent use allowing multiple entries and exits in a consecutive 3 day period)
- 7 day ticket: $22.20 (Frequent use allowing multiple entries and exits in a consecutive 7 day period)
How to apply for concessions:
- Speak with the Clinical Support Administrator within your ward or clinic.
- You will be provided with a form to complete prior to validation.
- Take this form to the Information Desk, Prince of Wales Hospital (Barker St entrance) for validation prior to exit.
- Take your validated ticket to the Metro Parking ticket machine to pay for your concession rate.
If you are applying to receive the 3 day or 7 day consecutive ticket:
- Speak with the Clinical Support Administrator within your ward or clinic.
- You will be provided with a form to complete prior to validation.
- Take this form to the Metro Parking Station office on Level B1 of the Parking Station to purchase this pass.
