Anxiety disorder
Anxiety is a normal reaction to stressful situations- it can alert us to danger or heighten our focus. Anxiety disorder is when the feelings become too strong, happen too often or prevent you from doing everyday things.
Symptoms may include:
- constant worry
- increased heart rate
- sweating
- restlessness
- muscle tension.
Treatment often includes lifestyle changes, professional therapy or medication.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
ADHD is a common condition in children affecting attention, activity levels and impulsive behaviour.
A child with ADHD could show symptoms including:
- inattention
- hyperactivity
- impulse behaviour
