The first appointment will depend on what therapy you have received during treatment.

You may need a cardiac echo or a lung function test  or blood test. We will let you know before you attend the appointment. 

We will do our best to complete all required follow up on the day of your appointment.

You will be given a summary of all your treatment and a schedule of recommended follow up.

Clinics are held twice a month on a Friday. Your consultant will not be available at each clinic day. 

You may be told to make an appointment after 12 months. The appointment may be slightly earlier or later  based on your consultant's availability.

* This will be different for some children having follow up for brain tumours. 

You will need a GP referral to attend the Survivorship clinic.

You can ask your GP for an indefinite referral which will last for a few years.

We will not be able to make a booking for you without a GP referral.

If you change your doctor, or your doctor relocates their practice,  you will need to update your referral.

We do have survivorship appointments available at our outreach clinics. Please talk to your consultant or contact us. 

If you have a general illness, such as a respiratory or gastro infection, it is best to visit your doctor.

Out of hours, call the hospital and ask for the oncologist on call.
