Types of cancers
Cancer in children can be divided into three groups:
- Leukaemia is cancer of the blood
- Lymphomas are cancers of the lymphatic system (part of the immune system which balances fluid levels and defends the body against infections)
- Solid tumours are cancers of the bone, organs or other tissues in the body.
