Wards and outpatient clinics

The Centre operates across one ward (C2W) and one day care unit (C2N) with an outpatient department.

Patients may also receive care in other medical or surgical wards within the hospital.

Children want their families to spend  as much time with them as possible. Almost all children’s wards have facilities where parents can stay overnight.

Your child may seem upset when you leave. It is helpful to say goodbye and tell your child and the ward staff when you will be back.

Staying at the ward all day can be a great strain. The nursing staff will encourage you to take regular breaks and even leave the ward for short periods of time.
